The Dream Look

Picture your garden on a crisp autumn evening: path lights guiding the way, warm uplighting on a specimen tree, and soft glow from the patio - all without a single cable visible by day. Good garden lighting extends your living space and turns a dark plot into an asset you'll use long after summer.

Trade Secret

Use warm white (2700-3000K) for living areas - it feels inviting. Cooler whites work for paths and security. And always plan for layers: path lights for safety, accent lights for drama, and subtle wash for walls or plants. Run everything from a dedicated outdoor circuit with RCD protection - never from an indoor ring via an extension lead. A timer or smart switch means you're not going out in the rain to turn it off.

The Mess Factor

Cables go underground - typically 450-600mm deep in armoured (SWA) or approved ducting. We'll mark the route, trench, lay the cable, and reinstate. Expect some disruption to lawn or borders for a day or two. If you're landscaping anyway, we'll coordinate with your groundworkers so the cable goes in before paving or turf.

Thanet Home Highlight

Thanet gardens are as varied as the houses - from Ramsgate's terraced yards to Broadstairs' larger plots and Margate's Victorian back gardens. Coastal salt air means we use IP65 or better for all outdoor fittings. We've lit plenty of Thanet gardens for year-round evening use - patio heaters and lighting together make autumn gatherings a real thing.
